Then and now…..

Blue Mountain Baptist Church was first established on the campus of Blue Mountain College, with the name Lowrey Memorial Baptist Church being the name of the church for the past 100 years. In 2019, the church “left the building” that was built in 1908, and later sold the facilities to Blue Mountain Christian University. For the past five years, the church has operated much like a church plant, leasing the Blue Mountain Community Center weekly. Each week, a small gathering of members sets up the facility, putting out chairs and sound equipment. The church has plans to build a new facility in the near future. For now, the church gathers weekly for the study of God’s Word and worship, in the Blue Mountain Community Center.
